Psalm 37:3-5 NKJV

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord,Trust also in Him,And He shall bring it to pass.

Practical application: Our life and faith are to be built on trusting the Lord God, totally and fully without fear or doubt. To have trust means to be confident or place hope toward a thing or person.  It is to be confident and secure without fear. Trust is an active form of believing. When we have trust, we are confident to act upon our beliefs. Our beliefs are what governs our decisions which in turn, produces our actions or our works. Ours works determine our quality of life. God desires to be a part of our lives. He alone is able to provide us with the greatest quality of life. This is a benefit to us when we actively trust in the Lord.

Sunday Scripture is from Ervin Lee, the co-founder of From Beer to The Bible which helps individuals struggling with the darkness of addiction and depression find a path to sobriety and spiritual health.  He teaches individuals to face their addiction challenges through his “spiritual sobriety kit” which includes physical exercise, prayer and discovering the truth of God’s Word.
