Greg Johnson

Greg Johnson is a triple threat. Professional, entrepreneur, and most importantly, “Girl Dad.” Greg is a strategic marketing professional. His professional career encompasses leading marketing efforts at well-known household brands, including Campbell Soup, Miller-Coors, and Pepsi. Following his corporate career, he set out on his own to feed his entrepreneurial spirit. Greg is the founder of SAGE Marketing, headquartered in Dallas, TX. SAGE is more than a marketing agency; they are unique. In addition to developing marketing strategies, they also help staff an organization’s marketing department and provide creative services.

 

In addition to Greg’s professional and entrepreneurial excellence, his academic excellence created the foundation for his success. Academically he holds a Bachelor’s from Rice and an MBA from the University of Texas. Greg says,” my success and excellence are not defined by financial success, success is living in your purpose, and my purpose is to help people monetize their passions and live in their purpose.”

 

The role of “Girl Dad” is the most precious thing to Greg, who is proud of his commitment to raising his daughters. Due to circumstances beyond his control, he was thrust to raise his young daughters as a single father. As expected, he was there for his girls and always on duty to support and care for them. As a father, Greg focuses on building resiliency in his daughters and letting them know that challenges and tough times are not a period. It’s a comma. Greg is a testament to the love and support of black fathers who love and take care of their children.

 

Greg also focuses on paving the way for people that look like him and helping train, develop and educate the next generation of business talent. Greg believes mentoring the youth continues the critical work of sustaining a legacy of Black excellence.
